Alongside partners, Essex County Council has developed a new support programme for Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations.
‘Your Essex Community’ is aimed at creating a strong and thriving VCS in Essex, now and in the future.
The comprehensive offer will empower the VCS to be sustainable and take advantage of new opportunities. Support is made up of different elements, including:
- an e-portal where organisations can find information and advice, provided by Maldon and District CVS;
- strategies and tools to empower organisations to get communities involved, provided by The Active Wellbeing Society;
- peer support networks to promote collaboration and connection between organisations, led by Active Essex.
A fourth element is in development. This will focus on introducing a strategic approach to maximising the resources and funding available to the VCS. The programme will also continue to grow and evolve depending on need.
Your Essex Community is available to organisations of any size and based anywhere in Essex. We would encourage you to share information about the new support through any relevant channels you have so that even more VCS organisations can benefit.
