EALC 81st Annual General Meeting

EALC’s AGM took place on Thursday 25th September for the 81st Annual General Meeting.

About the Event

The 81st AGM was held online following our summer relocation from Great Dunmow to Feering. It was a great opportunity to hear about our plans for delivering training across the county, bringing learning closer to you.

Keynote Speakers

    • Keynote Presentation – Essex County Council – Updates on Local Government Reorganisation and Devolution. Tom Walker, Executive Director, People, Policy, Economy, and Public Health.
    • Special Announcement – The Buckingham Palace Garden Party Award winner, Cllr. Harry Stone from West Bergholt Parish Council was announced live at the AGM.

This AGM is for members of Essex Association of Local Councils only. This year's AGM & Conference took place online Thursday 25th September 2025. There were presentations from our distinguished keynote speakers, followed by a special announcement for the Buckingham Palace Garden Party Award Winner, Cllr. Harry Stone from West Bergholt Parish Council.

For the past 81 years, the Essex Association of Local Councils has been dedicated to supporting and advocating for local councils in the Essex area. Throughout the years, they have spearheaded great initiatives to empower and strengthen local communities. As a way to recognise and celebrate those who have made significant contributions to their local councils, the association plans to hold an awards ceremony in the future.
