Permanent Part-time – 20 hours per week

Do you have good office and administrative skills and are you interested in working for a
community-focussed organisation?

Consequent upon the retirement of the current post-holder. Kelvedon Parish Council is looking
for a new Assistant Clerk to support the Clerk in running the council.

This is a real opportunity for an individual with a good administrative and communication skills
to become part of a small team delivering services including allotments, recreation ground and
open spaces to the residents of Kelvedon. And, to support the parish councillors in their role as
advocates for the village and its inhabitants.

This is a part-time post- 20 hours per week to include occasional evening working; there is an
expectation that the parish office will be staffed when it is open to the public but provided this
expectation is met there is scope for flexible working. Currently the parish council’s office is in
Feering but Council meetings take place in Kelvedon at The Institute.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 5 October 2026. Interviews will take place
as soon as possible after that date.
